This time of year is about giving. And, while this post is certainly not a gift guide, I thought I’d share another round of things that I am enjoying.
On the topic of gift guides, check out Audrey’s guides at Putting Me Together. She has several that she compiles, but each guide is based on things she and her husband use and love and have gifted before with good feedback. Because of this, her guides are similar year to year, but you can be assured that these are tried and true.
Sadia, over at Pick Up Limes, posted this amazing video on her YouTube channel. So much word to everything she talks about. Also, her vegan nutella recipe is just waiting to be made.
I have been using the DuoLingo app. I took several (like six) years of Spanish in high school and college, but what you don’t use you lose. So I am re-teaching myself Spanish and also trying to learn German.
I live in a place where winter means cold. And cold means warm drinks. Two I have been digging lately are this cinnamon hot cocoa and this raspberry hibiscus tea both available at Target. The cocoa is spicy enough to be extra warming without scorching your palate. The tea is perfectly sweet; no need for honey but not cloying either.
I have the unfortunate genetics for under eye circles and bags. Especially when lack of sleep teams up with dry winter skin. These ELF eye gels are stinkin’ miracles, both for moisturizing and depuffing. And at $8 for three sets, they are a bargain.
Dry skin is a huge issue for me. Throw in the challenge of also having sensitive skin and it means that most traditional moisturizers double down on the problem thanks to mineral oils or added fragrance. I love Aveeno for this reason. During the warmer months, this is the moisturizer I reach for repeatedly. Now that it’s cold, I have taken to stealing the kiddos.
This is my last post for 2018. I’ll be working behind the scenes to update some things and I have some great stuff planned for the new year. So, from my little family here at Mental Muscle Wellness to yours, have a wonderful holiday season!
Be well and I’ll see you in 2019!
