It’s that time again when I share with you the things that I am loving lately or have caught my eye over the last couple of months. As always, nothing sponsored here, just my own enthusiasm.
Sadia at Pick Up Limes posted this amazing video and blog article about sugar and sweeteners. It is so good that before you read the rest of this post, go click over to her page and check it out.
Brit+Co offered this list of foods that sound healthy and I think it’s a good reminder. Regardless of what diet niche you fall in to.
This study hit late last month and it kind of blew me away. As a trainer/coach/practitioner I had always been a bit skeptical of how well the submaximal bike and treadmill tests were at predicting one’s overall capacity, but to see that there might be a better indicator of heart health? That’s huge. Of course, more testing on larger populations needs to happen, but in the meantime, a few extra push ups a day aren’t going to hurt.
I finished this book awhile back (full review to come) and I really enjoyed it. Obviously I am a bit biased since it’s another version of what I do around here. But I also think it’s an easy to read and understand way of looking at your total wellness.
I bought these chicken meatballs for a new lunch option for the kiddo and they are delicious. I have been finding countless ways to use them for my own lunches because they are so quick to prep.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll recognize the opening pic of my hair styled in waves. I have been trying to grow it out a bit without changing the style, but as happens, I hit an awkward length. Awkward in that I don’t wash my hair daily and keeping it smooth was becoming a challenge. So I stepped out of my comfort zone and I’ve been really enjoying the wavy look.
I am crazy enjoying the longer days. Anyone who knows me will tell you I love the arrival of (slightly) warmer weather and longer days in spring. Sunlight is so important for our health and it has been so nice to wake up with the sun again.
We have a lot on our plates currently, both personally and professionally, and I have been doing a lot of journaling and list making. I use both tech and traditional paper-pencil methods. I love Google Keep, especially when I need to write something down when I am on the go. I updated my travelers notebook system at the new year and I’ve been enjoying it. Let me know in the comments section if you’d like to see a post about it.
Until next time, stay well friends!
