Full Body Resistance Band Workout

June 27, 2023

Hello, hello! Summer is in full swing and for most of us that means changes to our normal schedule. Whether you are just trying to balance fitting everything in while the littles are off school or you are headed out for vacation, I’ve got a workout that you can definitely make room for.

For those of you who have been part of the OG crew (::waves::), you know my love for resistance bands. These are amazing strength training tools that are inexpensive, accessible, and store in a small footprint. Which makes workouts with them even more awesome. You don’t need to locate fancy equipment or cart around a literal ton of dumbbells. These are easy to throw in a small basket in the corner of your living room (this is where mine live) or to pack (I brought a full set when we moved to Germany for six months).

Additionally, because you aren’t switching out equipment every exercise, resistance bands can also be a super time efficient way to get a workout in. Something I know I appreciate when time doesn’t seem to want to be managed the way I would like. Stack the exercises into supersets to maximize time or longer circuits to get a cardio boost.

In the video, I use flat bands. I tend to prefer this type because they allow you grip the band in different spots, which can change the resistance if you need. However, if you prefer the type with handles, don’t fret, they’ll work just fine. I work through each exercise individually, but you can pair the exercise with the one that follows for supersets. You can also stack the entire series as a circuit.
